Security Operations Engineer

About the Role

As a Security Operations Engineer at CXG, you will be the guardian of our digital landscape, ensuring that our cloud and enterprise infrastructures remain resilient against evolving threats. Responsibilities
  • Monitor security alerts and investigate potential threats while maintaining the integrity of security tools and platforms.
  • Execute comprehensive vulnerability management through regular scans, coordination of penetration testing (VAPT), and rigorous remediation tracking.
  • Implement Application Security by managing SAST/DAST tools and integrating security checks directly into development workflows.
  • Manage Cloud, Network, and Infrastructure security, with a focus on configurations, identity controls (IAM), and encryption standards.
  • Lead Microsoft 365 and Endpoint security operations using Microsoft Defender and related security suites.
  • Collaborate with Engineering teams to embed security best practices into the software development lifecycle.
  • Partner with IT teams to ensure robust endpoint protection and secure infrastructure configurations.
  • Support developers in identifying, understanding, and fixing vulnerabilities within their code and environments.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in Security Operations or Cloud Security.
  • Proven expertise in Vulnerability Management and experience with VAPT tools.
  • Hands-on experience with Cloud Security platforms (AWS, Azure, or SaaS environments).
  • Solid understanding of Application Security principles, including SAST and DAST.
  • Experience managing Network and Firewall security.
  • Strong proficiency in Identity & Access Management (IAM).
  • Familiarity with ISO 27001 standards and compliance frameworks.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience working in a SaaS or product-based company.
  • Ability to automate security tasks using Python, Bash, or similar scripting languages.
  • Experience with AI and tool security governance.
  • Knowledge of Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) processes.
Success Metrics
  • Reduction in time-to-remediate for critical vulnerabilities.
  • Successful integration of security checks within the CI/CD pipeline.
  • Improved visibility and monitoring coverage across cloud and endpoint environments.
