Business Development Lead — ESG & Impact Advisory (Switzerland)

Lead the commercial expansion of ESG and SDG Impact Standards in Switzerland by leveraging institutional credibility and AI-enabled tools to build a robust SME client base. This role is designed for a self-directed professional who thrives at the intersection of impact finance, technology, and strategic business development.

• Own the commercial strategy and execution for ESG and SDG Impact Standards in the Swiss market, with an initial focus on Romandie.
• Convert existing institutional relationships and high-quality leads into paying consulting and training clients.
• Utilize AI-native tools to automate outreach and research, focusing human effort on high-value relationship building and complex advisory.
• Act as the primary point of contact for Swiss SMEs seeking ESG investment-readiness and impact reporting expertise.
• Expand market presence across Switzerland as traction builds, ensuring alignment with global impact objectives.

• Fluent French (oral and written) for effective engagement with Swiss clients and stakeholders.
• Fluent English (internal working language).
• 1–5 years of experience in Business Development, Sales, or a related commercial role.
• Demonstrated proficiency and curiosity regarding AI tools (e.g., Claude, CoOwn) to enhance productivity.
• Self-directed work ethic with the ability to build and execute strategies without a pre-existing manual.

• Direct experience with the Swiss SME market and its specific regulatory/commercial landscape.
• Knowledge of SDG Impact Standards or prominent ESG reporting frameworks.
• Experience working with institutional partners such as the World Bank, UNDP, or the EU.
• An entrepreneurial background or experience in early-stage, high-growth environments.
